Just out of curiosity, did you buy this rod to actually add to your arsenal? Or mostly just to review it for the video? Because after seeing your rod arsenal, I can't imagine there's ever a scenario where you'd grab this over any of the others. Lol.

I’m also neither a Googan hater or worshipper. I liked when the world was open and Jon B would go to exotic locations and fish for GT’s, and I like LFG because he’s a fellow Aggie. I’m not a big spinning rod guy, but I think I’d still step up to at least a Levante

Hi. I was going to order a megabass rod from Omnia and use your code(done so in the pass recently and got a Daiwa rebellion) but it didn’t work?

Could you use this rod for inshore saltwater fishing? Good video

I think in doing this review, you may have hit on a bigger series of videos you could do for your viewers. Since you lean towards high end fishing rods, anyone who fishes NRX/Conquest rods is someone who leans towards high end rods, it would be an interesting discussion on how much do you really need to spend to get a quality rod (one that is sensitive (if that can really be measured), that has great action to match an application/style of fishing, that is durable and that actually assists/helps in catching more fish)?. I too am a higher (not quite as over the top as you, ;-) ), end rod guy, but I keep asking myself do the rods that I fish REALLY make a difference in catching more fish or are they just a lifestyle choice (like buying a mercedes versus a toyota, they both do the same thing and are equally reliable)? I am starting to believe that you can find rods in the $200 price range that will do everything a rod in the $500 price range will do, including being light, sensitive and durable (maybe more so than higher end rods). Sorry for rambling, just thinking that there maybe a great discussion topic/series of videos in this topic, a true punchfishing analytical review of the difference between say an Expride at $250 and an NRX at $500+.... Does the extra $250 really give you anything that helps you catch more fish, or is it all lifestyle decision making??

Honestly surprised it got such a good review. This just screams something that's cheap. There's a lot more people needing a cut from each sale, then a normal manufacturer selling a rod, so they either need to bump prices up or cut corners on the materials. Something has to give.

I bought my 2nd Tenryu spinning-rod recently. I already have a Dropshot 62 and now I’ve got an Injection Fast Finess ML. Specs 7ft5, 7-17g, separate handle, SIC guides.and NO CLICKING nut lock.😆
Sorry Brian my money is already WELL spent 😋👍
Thinking about a Dobyns Xtacy 752S as THE NEXT rod because the Torzite Guides. Been looking at the NRX+ and then the 902S
Anyway talk to you on the next episode. Have a nice day 💪😎🎣

I bought a few rods from googan and I sold them the next week because I didn’t like the feel of the rod. The blank of the rod is on point but the guides of the rods could have been better. If I remember it only had 9 guides and usually rods that cost 150 plus have more the 9 guides making them a better rod with more sensitively. But like what you said if you’re a fan boy it’s aren’t bad. I would wait to see how the next rods will be if they ever make anymore. I’ll just stick to their brands for now.

I’m not familiar with sea tech guides, do you mean sea guide?

I think you did a very respectable job showcasing the rod! As you said this rod is perfect for supporters of Googan baits. Googan rods are their spirit jerseys. Their rods are as much a niche product as the new Shimano NRX+ (no matter the quality difference) is to Shimano supporters. What are people going to say when this very rod inspires a future KVD (who became the most successful fisherman of all time throwing Quantum rods? 😉. Great Review👏🏿👏🏿

So is Omnia not accepting your coupon for Shimano and Megabass? They used to accept your coupon on Shimano but it isn't working now.

Good review. Not much of a Googan hater or follower, but I think that the guides should not have been neglected. If you can though, could ya do a review on David Dudley’s PRoFISHiency spinning rod? Basically $78 but imo I think it’s the best rod for under $110.

Good Review; I’m not a fan of GS; I do like Jon B and Lake Fork Guy; seems like those two kept up with their fishing content. The rod; not for me, I am the opposite of you, I own two Spinning Rods and about 20 Casting Rods (Loomis and Dobyns) and when I do purchase another, I will look at Loomis, Megabass or Expride; although, your review of the St. Croix Victory rod may sway me in that direction.
