AC/DC Jailbreak 1976 official music video

Hey guys! I know you have reacted to a lot of ACDC but here is another. I am weirdly obsessed with this very early ACADACA song. Bon Scott is a legend here in perth, western Australia with a statue of him in fremantle. we also close off a major highway with a tribute to the band aptly named "highway to hell". Growing up in freo where our historic convict prison is located, adds a layer to what i wonder was the influence to this song. i hope you enjoy it!

One of my very favourite Acca Dacca songs.

With a hole in his body where his life had been. Favourite line.

Thanks, guys. You can never get enough of AC/DC with Bon Scott. He was the best front man.

Bon Scott is the true AC/DC for Aussies. Such a legend.

What’s also impressive about this song is Bon’s vocals. He paints a picture with the incredible use of his voice. Even without the band you are still drawn into the story he is telling. Listen to the way he drops down on the verse “freedom he was chasing” then rises up for the next “SPOTLIGHTS”!! The range this guy had was something few singers could match. We tend to see Bon Scott as a heavy rock vocalist. But as this track shows there was so much more to him than that.

I gave Bon's statue a little polish on Sunday, Perth time.
It's on the Fremantle fishing boat harbour board walk, with the world's best fish and chips nearby.
His grave is up the road a few km's.

Thanks so much for reacting to my song. Im so glad you enjoyed it. I was captivated by this song when I was really little and it has remained my favourite ACCA DACCA (pronounced Acker Dacker) song. Love to you both!

I had the same pyjamas as Angus is wearing in the late 70s as a kid old British Aussie convict uniform 😂😂

There was actually talk for a long time of the Song being made into a Movie, but it obviously never materialised. Brian’s done an awesome Job, but Bon will always be my favourite, great memories of being little kid in the Car singin’ “It’s a Long Way to the Shop, if you Want a Sausage Roll”, when it played on the Radio way back when it came out.

This film clip was made for the legendary music show Countdown (several years before MTV). With a few of those *cough* lyrics intact, this was shown on Countdown on a Sunday night at 6pm. The ' convict pajamas' that Angus wears became a minor hit with primary school boys (my cousins had them). This song is also a modernized form of traditional Australian traditional music know as 'bush ballads'. The most famous of which is, of course, Waltzing Matilda. And the whole things is just epic. RIP Bonn and Malcolm.

I used to see Bon when he sang in a band in Perth called The Valentines in the 1960’s.
