I dont understand why there are so many negative comments about this wall. I think it looks sleek and quite contemporary with the lighting. I know this is very common look at the moment but generally woodwork of any kind always looks good and stands the test of time. Great vid!

Here's a tip - if you're doing a hole for the socket, before you cut the slats you can put the extra staples needed to keep them secured to the felt (you'll see where they're needed from behind). 🎉

Definitely with the lights! I've been tinkering around with some wled addressable lights to create something a little different and have some black LED diffuser channels to hide them in.. this then led me to Home assistant to create automations.. this then led me to have multiple headaches so i think i might just go with the lights you are showing 🤣love your videos pal and will be using a lot of them on our new reno project starting soon! Cheers!!

5:00 The socket fascia ought to be disconnected, single hole through the panel for the wire, and installed on the front of the panel

I'm fitting this exact type of slatting in around an hour's time, so glad I saw your version of fitting them, I stumbled across a couple of others that were awful in their instruction. I think 2 strips of lights for a bedroom, not anywhere else, 4 strips of lights is overkill.
