It's risk vs impact. Normally if the risk is low, but the impact is extremely high, you don't do that thing. If the risk is very high but the impact is very low, you might do that thing. If the risk is very high and the impact is high, you absolutely 100% don't do that thing. Genetic engineering is high risk high impact.

Would you still make these same arguments for nuclear weapons? Genetic engineering can last for generations and have unintended consequences down the line. Soldiers exposed to Agent Orange in nam had perfectly healthy kids, but their kids had kids with higher birth defects and disorders, and by the time they got old most of the exposed Soldiers got cancer and started to get terrible symptoms from exposure. Sure, engineering might be done with a good thing in mind but the consequences later down the line are what scared me. In the 1900s lead paint, asbestos, and plastics was heraled as a godsend. we knew later in the century that kids asorbed these things like sponges. Micro plastics today pollute most of the humans alive now. 3M poisoned so much water with teflon and teflon derivitaves that even the North Sentinelese have teflon in their blood dispite being an uncomtacted tribe stuck in the stone age, same with isolated tribes in the amazon. The idea that we can create perfect people is a horrible idea. Humanity is being put on the chopping block. Sure we could end all the genetic issues that people have but to mess with nature in such a way throws the balance out of whack. What if a mistake is made that can never be undone? What if a person butterfingers a process but nobody catches it? The government and Companies would take no responsibility. We could Captain America you, or we could turn you into a pile of mush suffering in incomprehensible pain and suffering.

⁠so are you going to trust in man for your healing? Is medicine your golden calf?

Paul did many signs and wonders in the name of Jesus, but was not delivered from his physical ailment. Not every sickness is supposed to be healed, we are promised a new resurrected body. That is what you are supposed to put your trust in, not this fleshly suit which stays on the earth but a minuscule amount of time.

Might I remind you and anyone else that LIFE IS IN THE BLOOD. Do not alter your DNA. Please study what the word has to say about blood, why it is so important. Pray and ask the Lord yourself.
