June 2020. Savary Island is located in the northern part of the Strait of Georgia, 140+ km North of Vancouver. Many come to Savary Island to spend a few days on the island off-grid and away from civilization. We must say, its reputation is Well-deserved.
Savary Island is only a 15-minute ride from Lund BC by Water Taxi.
5 min hiking from the main harbor you’ll find a bike rental shop. We strongly recommend taking advantage of it and getting yourself a bicycle. It is $20 cash per day. They even have those little hook-up trailers to transport kids and dogs.
During summer months, they have one little shop open and one cafe – both in the middle of the island, and both working till about 3pm. Cash only.
There are no public washrooms, garbage facilities or campsites here. Pack out your trash. Bring your own drinking water with you, although I believe there is at least one publicly accessible site in the middle of the island you can get your water bottle refilled.

Looks like a lovely place - great filming and nicely edited - Canada is a favourite of ours, as we spent our honeymoon there in 1996. Have subscribed, and would appreciate your support back!

Being from the East I always thought west coast beaches were a bit dreary dark and full of crap all over. Not very pristine as the east coast or even Ontario has better beaches for that matter. Clean your beaches bc. Lol

super boring 'content' if you call a bunch of drone shots content with NO dialogue or have ZERO knowledge of the island nor discussion about Savary, its unique topography and the fact that it an Harwood Island (owned by the British Royal Family) are THE only glacial eskers on the entire coast of North, Central and South America...how to get there (drive to Horseshoe Bay to Gibsons Landing, then drive (the entire highway is 180km long..good cycle!) to Earls Cove then yet another ferry to Saltery Bay..then drive to Lund and get a water taxi to the Government Wharf at Savary Island..when I lived there (20 full time residents) there was one 'Pub" open only during the summer ~4 months and no provisions....Savary has one of the most unique varieties of defined ecosystems...do a better job if you are going to post about "day trips!!
