Another "you can't be too thin, too rich, or have too many clamps" moment. Congratulations on saving this unusual chair, so close to oblivion.

One of my favorite furniture restoration channels. It's not just the incredible work ethics and talent, it's your relationship with cats. That says a lot.

That's a very nice chair for a school. Maybe it was the Rector's? Anyway, I hope more people consult you before they throw away their old furniture.

Ahti, that was gorgeous. Every single time you receive a disaster like this, you turn it into treasure. The fabric choice was spot on. Thanks for sharing this with us all.

Gorgeous! Must have been a really posh school to have chairs like that... Big difference to the iron-framed, built-in, two-seater, Victorian bench-seats we were still polishing with our backsides as late as 1968!

As usual... as near to restoration perfection as possible.

It's always good to see anything older restored and used than what's available today.

Even the fabric on the seat is on point

I’m amazed they made chairs with that much detail on the back, in enough numbers to fill a school. It’s really quite beautiful. And if the faux leather was more expensive than real leather, that was one more added element. Chairs were much more plain in the school I went to lol. You did a great job with this one… as always. Redoing the arm 6 times to get it just right is why we all watch your channel.❤️🐝🤗

My great-grandfather made and restored a lot of furniture. He once said that he absolutely hated the newer polyethylene finishes and wouldn't even have them in his shop. To this day a mere whiff of denatured alcohol and shellac takes me back to those days. Wonderful job of restoring this fine old chair. Love your channel.

This miraculous restoration is another example of why you are my very favorite furniture restorer.

The chair went from trash to treasure by the hand of a master craftsman.

I watch A LOT of restoration, craftsman, upholstery videos and you are by far the best. I am so disappointed you do not have over a million viewers. Something needs to be done to get you more viewers. Obviously they do not know what they are missing out on. My father built specialty wood toys and children’s furniture (rocking horses/chairs, big wooden trucks that actually dumped or picked up things-almost all organic materials. I remember spending days in his shop watching him labor over one piece of a toy until it was perfect. You remind me a lot of him. He spent a year (on and off) in Estonia when the USSR first dissolved a lot of his design and art work was influenced by his time there.

Very nice, I made one mistake a few months ago and watched all most all of your restorations, now I have to wait very patiently for the new one… Great work and worth the wait…👍🏻
