"He hates losing over 200 meters and he's forgotten how to"
Outstanding commentary

Lyles looks incredible coming down the stretch. You look at everyone else's form and he just looks stronger.

Back when Knighton ran 19.49, Lyles mentioned he had to cancel dinner plans with friends when he got the news. If doesn't motivate you, I dont think there is anything in life that will ever motivate you. Nothing beats hard-work. Nothing!

High schooler has pushed Lyles to raise his game. Good to see him elevate.

I'm a Knighton guy. But, man! This was such a dominant run by Lyles. He wanted to silence all of us who had the temerity to doubt him. Kudos, Lyles. You deserved it!

He has one of the greatest running form I have ever seen, just beautiful

The strength of his strides on the last 50 meters and the form he managed to keep until the finish line are just insane. Awesome

I was at Hayward Field for this race today, and congratulations to Noah Lyles, Kenny Bednarek, and Erriyon Knighton. However, directly after the race, the first thing Knighton did after the medal ceremony was to stop and take photos with all the fans in the crowd, what a class act. Thanks Erriyon!

I knew Lyles was running a PB but 19.31!
Meanwhile, this commentary deserves gold too

I think Lyles is my most favorite US sprinter, I am so happy for him and never doubted he would have won. I like Fred Kerley and Knighton as well.

Destroyed his PB by 2 tenths, just over 1 tenth away from Bolt's record now. This was something special. Always rooted for him, he's a showman but a great guy as well. To even higher prospects 🥂

Now to those who said 19.49 was greater than 19.50, I guess 19.31 will feel like eternity. The kids time will come but until then the king reigns

Just BONKERS running from Noah Lyles - basically CLEARED the field in like the first 80m! Insane win from him!!!

Love him or hate him, THAT was one of the most Impressive Races in history!! He looked possessed coming down the last 80m... I've never seen anyone maintain such insane turnover.... for That long of a race?!? If you just watched the last 80 meters, you'd swear you were watching him run the 100m..😨😲. Full props to the guy, that race almost gave me chills watching the shear determination on his face.... and I honestly thought only Bolt could ever be capable of that??

This was an outstanding performance. I am in awe every time I watch this race. The composed power in that final 50m was freaking awesome

There is no denying the greatness of Knighton, but for the people that write off Lyles. Remember the dude is no gatekeeper, he is only 25 yeahs old. Where are you now haters? Knighton for the future, but Lyles is here right NOW.
