Hey people it's another program about the same person another show did. His story is worth telling more than once. Deal with it.

I go to my mailbox with camping gear a compass, 40 gallons of water, my aid kit, a defibrillator, pen and paper, food, and a flashlight in daytime. Except I aways make it back from the 15 feet I traveled. Lol . Kudos to this man!

Steve was a Dover Massachusetts family friend in the 1960s. I remember his disappearence like it was yesterday. Amazing story of survival.

I know I shouldn’t be bringing negative vibes into the comments but the “I shouldn’t be alive” version of this is so much better, It’s so much more intense and adds some more specific details that just make it feel more whole as a story, they didn’t even mention how we dove back into the boat for supplies and his lungs almost burst while the boat was sinking, like come on now

I first saw this story on “I shouldn’t be alive”… season 4. Called 76 days at sea or something like that.
Just omg WOW.
It’s gut wrenching watching. I seriously literally would have died in a week. Guarantee. I just can’t believe he went through that.
It makes me so sad thinking about all the other probably gillions of other people that survived an accident at sea for a great deal of time but were never found so their turmoils got completely lost. I can only imagine the stories we’d known of if everyone lost at sea could live to tell their tale.

Incredible man, incredible story. Great re-enactment and some really interesting new details of his ordeal but the I Shouldn't Be Alive episode was definitely better.

He should give himself more credit. He's definitely quite an expert at what he's doing and a smart one that was.

I bet the next ditch bag he assembled was the size of a refrigerator! 3 canned hams, 25 bags potato chips, 25lbs beef jerky, 144 candy bars, 2 kegs of water, case of dinty moore stew, 12 cans chili, 4 boxes saltines, 5 boxes twinkies.
