I’m not from Scotland and I can understand you perfectly. This is easy to follow and very helpful. My dogs have been helped hugely by all your stuff that you share so freely. Thank you.

i use my lead pressure to make my dog sit and put my foot on the lead to make her lie down. i learnt this off youtube video's.
My dog resisted for the first 5 mins and i didn't yank her or anything i just waited til she did the desired behaviour. I introduced her to this about a month or 2 ago and I don't have to apply much pressure at all, most of the time i either say the word or just do the action without applying pressure and she will sit or lie down. but after watching your video I'm starting to think, its definitely would classify as aversive. but does that necessarily make it a bad form of communicating with my dog? i found it affective but must admit this is my first dog. and she's only 6 months old.
