People are talking about Jo's model while I'm wondering why the hell this fight uses the regular dungeon boss theme instead of the actual Amon theme that this game HAS

Honestly why the hell did they use Shin's model for Jo if they had Kazuya, Jiro, and Sango's model lmao. If they have those, surely they have Jo's model too.

I think Shin Might have earned/inherited the name "Jo Amon" because we never heard from the original Jo Amon again. So maybe they gave the name to Shin

Tips for this fight:
Do it in premium adventure when you have access to Ichi and gang. Start the fight with ultimate tag team to do heavy damage, then target the hell out of Amon. I’d recommend also using Akiyama’s poundmate summon to charm some of the Amons so they stop dealing damage (Jiro and Sango both fall for it). When Jo dies, he won’t be revived and no one can do tag team attacks. So really, taking out Jo first is your biggest priority as he is the only one keeping the team alive.

Amon fights are a staple of the completionist and Kiryu after completing many challenges. This Amon fight didn't feel rewarding at all and I quite literally mistook Jo for Shin. I genuinely feel like they threw him in here just for thew sake of it instead of making him like a genuinely difficult fight. It sure is better than the grindfest you had to do in 7 to even remotely try him but this isn't great either, feels like a downgrade if anything. I just hope that they make him better next time or make a special DLC that gives Ichiban the ultimate Amon Gauntlet.

Jo took such a hard beating against Kenshiro that he had to get a plastic Surgery and now he look like Shin.

But seriously. Why they used Shin model? Either they used the wrong name or someone didn't get the memo that they should have used Jo's model and now Shin's.
Edit: It seem more the latter now that I look at the ending dialogue.

Maybe the swapped model because Jo Amon got old and possess Shin Amon to fight Kiryu since he keeps mentioning illness. Maybe the next encounter will be Kiryu meets the real Jo Amon in hospital.

I defeated the Amon Brothers on my first try. Glad I had the sacrifice stone equipped on Kiryu so I could have an extra life.

I was glad my crew was nicely overlevelled in their 60s before this cool unspoiled surprise boss. The extra strength and HP made all mid-to-endgame enemies much more manageable and less stressful!
