"Didn't go as planned, " but it went exactly as expected.

9000lbs (closer to 10 actually), 1000+hp, only seats 5, has zero bed space, costs $120k. I… just don’t get it. Makes zero sense for ANYTHING.

Come on GM, There should be nothing difficult about engaging locking diffs, and they should actually work.

My neighbor had his SUV version of this parked on the street for a few weeks while his driveway was getting redone and every time I walked the dog by it, my main impression was that is was just huge - and that was with it looking like it was sitting on its bump stops. I get that it’s a technological tour-de-force, but it just seems so, so big, that it feels like much more of a statement than an actually useful vehicle.

Car companies seem to be forgetting one principle these days: K.I.S.S. We don’t want or need complicated while driving.

I don't understand why a locker (even if virtual) is needed at all for something like this. If you have independent motors for every axle then you can already drive every axle in default mode. You can also tie the motor speed to steer angle very easily to not only allow differential motion, but to offer perfect differential motion. Imagine being locked thru a turn without forced binding or slip, but every tire still providing full torque. Seems like this would be easier than trying to mimic a real differential by having one motor cut out when the other motor loses torque, and then adding an additional mode to "lock" them together.

For the amount of money and tech you would think by putting it in “terrain mode” it would figure out it’s off road and apply the lockers as needed automatically.

My air locker goes in right away everytime 😂

Remember how Capable the Old Red TFL Trailboss was?

Simple off road trucks with good articulation is better than fancy modes.

This is the epitome if what's wrong with US manufacturing today. They make things so terrible you can't use it for anything. It's too big, too heavy, too expensive to do anything with it. You can't even drive this to the store since it won't fit in any parking spot. I saw one at Tractor Supply and a cop was giving it a parking ticket for being double parked 🤣🤣🤣

At my local GMC dealer, those things are just sitting there. I think there was four of them at the beginning of summer here we are in December and they’re still there.

I will watch the two of you work together to offroad literally anything. This was an incredible video. Great work team.

$120K and it doesn't come with a spare tire. And when you pay extra for one, it eats up a big chunk of your bed space! But it does have a fancy tailgate. 🙄😂🤣. God what a joke.

I wish my old crusty Jeep had push button lockers. I have to get out and use channel locks to turn the hubs. 😂

The #1 thing you did wrong is use a Hummer EV to go off roading.

Folks that buy these $120, 000 monstrosities are never going to off road them. These are just to impress the neighbors and friends. You know like most high end pick ups are.
