It does proc sudden impact, it just does not show in the buff list (since in general Sudden Impact is not shown there).

This is actually a very much intended synergy with Taliyah. The ability reads "Enemies that dash or are knocked into a stone will detonate it" so any allied displacement (hooks, lee sin kick, syndra push, her own W, etc) will actiate it as well as any enemy dash ability.

Urgot feels bad for all the immobile champs in this time of dashes, so he wants to hand out free dashes to the enemy

you missed the greatest urgot - poppy interaction. Urgot is able to cancel poppy ulti by buffering his dash right before being hit, allowing his second animation from his dash to override the knockback from poppys ult. This works on pretty much all displacements on urgot, but is particularily funny with poppy.

With Taliyah is normal, any moves that move enemy champ in Taliyah E activate the minefield, like blitz, nauti Q, thresh E etc.
Knock ups also activate Taliyah E

this has actually been in the game for a very long time, i had a clip of me in 1 of my games playing poppy and my friend was urgot and we did this and were very confused about it at first when we saw it

I was expecting poppy E into invisible wall when urgot is slinging his opponent but I think this practically achieved the same effect

If it has to do with the Fling mechanic then Singed's throw might also cause this. if not it's likely due to the fact that Urgot is dashing and through spaghetti code that flag gets transferred to the target he hits.

I think all knock backs work on taliyah e not sure if they work with poppy though

Knockdown affects units that are performing a dash or being displaced by an airborne effect

What happens if Urgot uses E on a grounded target tho? Like if Cass or Poppy or smth already used a grounding ability and the enemy can’t dash, can urgot still use E?

I think any ability that displace an enemy will activate Taliyah’s W, not just Urgot’s E
