Classic American Cars In Sweden

This is just a local cruise with a few hundred cars, the biggest classic American car event in Sweden is the annual Power Big Meet, arranged by American Car Club of Sweden (ACCS). In 2017 there were 22 000 vehicles entered... So if you are a fan of old American cars, and you have a favorite make and model that is ultra rare in the US because it was made in very low numbers, chance's are high that you'll find at least a couple of them somewhere in Sweden. And they are probably in very, very good condition... Everywhere in Sweden, especially out in the countryside, there are thousands of Swedes wrenching on old American iron in small unassuming garages and barns, it's one of the biggest hobbies over here. As an example of rare US cars in Sweden, one more has just arrived to it's new owner in a small northern town. It's one of the original 1967 GT 500 Mustangs that Shelby American used as a engineering test bed back in the day. (still got an official Shelby American parking sticker on the windshield...) The new owner is (of course) planning to restore it to perfection... I'm not into this scene so much myself (kind of like you), but my kid brother is. He bought a big seventies Ford truck a year ago that he is fixing up right now... (just got it tested and plated).

And that is just one of several similar meetings for classic american cars which is held every weekend during the summer in Sweden. An rather ordinary cruising weekend in a small town in Sweden.

If you'd stay in one spot, you would catch all the cars as they would drive right by you instead of you walking all over the place and you video going jumping all around. And being an American, you should be ashamed of yourself for not knowing your American cars. Other than that, it looks to be a nice car show.
