Simplifying Multi-cluster Kubernetes Management with Karmada - Eliran Bivas, AppsFlyer

Managing multiple Kubernetes clusters in a hybrid or multi-cloud environment can be challenging. High availability, traffic routing, and scaling applications require a complex management solution. Additionally, remote users face difficulty in accessing information about services running on different Kubernetes clusters. While users may need to consume services distributed across multiple clusters, doing so requires complex and customized solutions.

Karmada, a CNCF Sanbox project, proposes a new API that extends the scheduling concept across multiple clusters, aiming for minimal configuration, ease of use similar to in-cluster services, and allows extention.
In this talk, Eliran Bivas, Platform Architect at AppsFlyer, will discuss the common problems of multi-cluster management and propose a CNCF sandbox implementation called Karmada for managing Kubernetes clusters.
