The way she said *"HAWaIi"* and just cuts off in the end cracked me up

This is the most interesting thing about Popuko and Pipimi. While their personalities remain consistent, their roles in the story would always vary. Sometimes they would be the heroes, sometimes they would be neutral, and other times, like this example, they would be the villains.

I just can't watch this skit without thinking "they might be jerks, but that's some couples squad goals right there." And it's bizarrely wholesome.

Whenever I watch episode 5 of Pop Team Epic, I like to think what happened during those 5 years of Iyo and Hojo. Allow me to point it out:

-after a trip to the hospital for Hojo’s ALMOST fatal injury, the two children of destiny reported their stepparents to the landlord of the apartment for their ceaseless “Gundam motion dancing” at night and squandering the money for a trip for Hawaii rather than paying for rent.

-While the stepparents (Pipimi And Popuko) are kicked out and separated from the kids (probably due to one of them owning a restraining order offscreen), Iyo’s classmates, fans of Hojo, were facing punishment for bullying Iyo.

-After the disappearance of their stepparents, Iyo and Hojo can finally have a fresh new life in their high school lives. Even though they’re step-siblings, their love for each other grew stronger than it did when they first met.

I don’t know, man. I’m just spitballing here.
