3. The oldest living tree in the world is in California, and is around 4,843 years old. The tallest tree in the world is around 379.1 feet high. This is in California too.
4. The Baobab tree in Africa is an amazing plant. It is known for its water storage capacity in it trunk. It can store 1000 liters to 120000 liters of water in its swollen trunk.
5. Dendrochronology is the science of calculating a tree’s age by its rings. Rings in the stem of a tree can tell the age of a tree and also about environmental events, including volcanic eruptions.
6. Do you know that largest flower in the world is the titan arums. The size of each flower is about 10 feet high and 3 feet wide i.e. even bigger than an elephant.
7. The tiniest tree in the world is Dwarf Willow ,its size is about two inches. It is found in Greenland.
8. The broadest trees around the world are the Baobab trees in Africa & the Sequioa trees in North America, their trunks are so large that a good sized apartment can be housed in there!
9. The world's fastest growing plant is Burma's giant bamboo it can grow 17 centimeter in a day.
10. The very first type of aspirin, or pain killer and fever reducer came from the tree bark of the willow tree.
