"the sooner or later, you get it" — this is really true, like you read it once and you don't get it, read it twice and still nothing but after a while of thinking and a lot of focus, somewhat your mind knows how the heck it works!

I wish there were more people in the world with Terry's mindset.

I needed this. Though he will never read this, thank you Mr. Crews.

We need less blue pill cowards in our community. They hold back our generation by praying on the insecurities of vulnerable young people through social media and education, and they make a FORTUNE out of it. We need more proud Leaders with genuine hearts, who are willing to make a difference like this man here. Thanks Crews, you’ve always been a huge inspiration to me. keep it up, our generation needs less excuses and more champs like you spreading the love and keeping us going .

when my life fell apart it took me a long time to be able to but i found that just by doing even small steps to try to get even a bit closer to how i want things to be can help a lot, especially on the days when things go wrong, be kind to yourself and just try, then keep building on that, and through time we can change things to better

good luck folks.. I'm always glad to try to help people if i can so please get in touch if you're feeding you need someone to talk with in tough times

Thanks Terry. Theres too many of us who have been told that lie -that you have it or don’t. Everything takes practice even if you get it a little quicker than the next guy, you need practice. Initial ability does not determine your number of triumphs. What determines the number of triumphs you have are the number of falls you decide to get up from.

Excellent ideas. I’ve always had the problem of not doing what I’m not interested in, well. I’m lousy at what doesn’t interest me. So the question of self-discipline is important too probably.

The sooner or later, you will get it, if you never do it, you will never get it . Sounds really easy, but it's tough, and that's okay, what matters it's to keep trying . Honestly, when starting something new, it's scary, you will most likely suck at it, but there is respect in the action of trying, of knowing you probably won't do good, but still doing it, because it teaches your improvement . Until you start enjoying the process, and then, you start getting good .

"Okay that's a bad example."

Thats a nice sentiment, but its objectively not true.

For example i used to do standip comedy and i saw guys whod been at it 20 years, busting their ass to "learn" the craft and going nowhere, then i saw a naturally charismatic young kid who said hed barely even watched comedy come in and steal the show on his first night. He was a touring pro within a few months.

Anyone can get BETTER at almost anything through practice and learning, but natural "gifts" do exist, and Terry certainly has several - and there are definitely limits to how far you can get in certain vocations and journeys if you dont have them to at least some extent.

People giving these peep talks never seem to account for extrrnal circumstances, such as a physical disability. It's easy to say that your success is entirely up to you. It is not. There're external circumstances that can and will screw up your dreams if you don't account for them. I learned the hard way, and I've also learned not to buy into this "everything is about your mindset" BS. Speech like this could work as a short-term motivation, but the reality is just much more complicated than that.

im sorry but everything is not learned to a level of excellence.
So many really talented people initially didnt believe in themselves,
And because they finally did and worked hard, they believe everybody
else can do exactly as they did. Hey, they too didnt think they could do it
and now look at them.... wrong.

We cannot "learn" to get to those highest level in most cases,
because we are not built for most things.

Now for a few specific things we are natually predisposed for, yes.
You can learn to be basic at most thing, but not excellent at most things.
Thats the biggest B.S. that all naturally talented people believe.

That guy is way too humble. Sure it works in the gym example, but you cant just learn his genetics, or natural charisma, or inherent drive, etc.

Honestly it's pretty hard (barring stupid bullshit like the Paris Hilton sex tape) to become as well known as he is without being "special" in one way or another.
