How to Fix Your RCA TV That Won't Turn On - Black Screen Problem

Something different worked for me. The black screen happened 3 times over a 7 year period, and I got it working all 3 times, with 2 causes of the problem being the same, SCROLLING. I unplugged TV from wall for 2 minutes, then plugged it back in the wall. I used the remote power button to turn it on, which is the only part of the remote that worked now. When the white screen came on saying RCA I immediately hit next channel up on the remote. It moved up to next channel, then everything was good again. I realized that when it happened a second time it happened when I was scrolling through the channels when it hit 50.4 both times, it stopped working. I tried the same method I just used when it happened again and it worked the second time as well. Once working I went into show/Hide on remote and pressed Hide that channel so it won't scroll on it again. The same thing happened about 4 years ago, but at that time it was channel 38.1 This method worked all 3 times.

I was using the tv then it started to dim the imagine until it was completely black. Now it will turn on and I hear sound but it black. Not sure what the issue is. Please help

Has power (red light is on)
Won't turn with remote or pressing power button on TV.
Did the unplug for 60 seconds pressed the power button for 30 seconds within the 60 seconds, that didn't work.
Changed batteries in remote, same problem.
What else can it be??
