In this battle of titans the legendary Dragon Ball series takes on the never ending One Piece saga. We've ranked both popular mangas on characters, epic battles and of course overall story arcs and the winner may surprise you!

one piece is better written and has less plot holes, but Dragonball is what got me into anime and manga, and well a lot of us here too. but I do have to agree that one piece is the better one . but hey this is just a opinion

This is for everyone who says that the DB story is stupid. Do you guys actually think Akira Toriyama is so stupid and his anime series is all about fighting? You have to have a look at the adventures of DB classic. The search for the Drahonballs, The adventures, The tournaments, The battles, The Kamehameha, The transformations, The teleportations. DB released all of this before One Piece. I can say a lot more but that's what I need

One Piece was my biggest discover ever!
All my life i was a DB fan (still i am), but when i found how impressive One Piece was, i fell in love instantly.
I've seen all the episodes in almost 2 months (manga too), and it is a magnificent piece of art.
DB is awesome fights, but not story, not fascinating characters.
One Piece can make you cry for such things that no one could believe.

I love one piece and dragonball, they are the best anme and maga world wide but in my opinion one piece had the better story

I have a hard time believing anyone who has finished DB and is up to date with the OP manga would prefer DB for any reason other than nostalgia. OP is far better. Kudos to DB for paving the way with an excellent installment and a staple of shonens for decades to come, but OP has perfected it. I've read the chapter every week for over fifteen years and have no plans to stop. Also, great objective video. Subscribed.

Well the only main difference is one piece has more story than just fighting, while luffy's dream is to become the king of the pirates, goku wants to be more stronger than he already. Dragon ball's story is somewhat short in comparison if you sum all of dragon ball's story its like an ant compared to the vast story of the one piece world so yeah....

most dbz fans are just blinded by nostalgia to be honest. i was like that to until i got exposed to more anime. DBz Is just fight fight fight where as one piece and every other anime manage to have a story and decent characters

The length of One Piece is not a weakness, it's what makes One Piece the best manga of all time. Long term story telling, emotional attachment, characters development, and even foreshadowing. All of these can't be express through a short anime.
