The experience was like budget business class (almost) with a 2-4-2 configuration on the upper deck. It is to note that Emirates economy class seats on the upper deck are only available on the two-class configuration of the A380.

Be aware that if you pay extra to sit in the Upper Deck economy as i did Emirates at any time can put the same aircraft on with a different config and shove you right up the back of economy downstairs and not tell you. Nobody from Emirates is bothered about your plight. Get a refund when you return is the helpful reply i got

My favorite seat on the A380 is normally 50K or 50A. The view of the engines is normally unmatched! Just came from flying their Dubai-Milan-JFK Route actually😅
