Welcome to MyBinding video. Let's have a look at the Xyron Personal Cutting System. Built for the scrapbooker in mind, this Xyron system will revolutionize the way that you choose, cut, and create fonts and shapes in three different sizes. This complete system comes with two starter books, one an alphabet font book and the second is a shapes and designs book. The actual cutting machine is simple and compact; the bottom slides right out and the books snap right in. Once snapped in, the computer displays which book you're using. The different pages in the book have different tabs. Pressing them in lets the computer know which page you're on, and then tapping the design tells it which design you've selected. The plus and the minus on the right hand side select the size, small, medium, or large.
Right in the front of the machine is the cutting tray. Simply slide it out and remove the plastic cover. And then you place any color or kind of paper on top of that to make your cuts from. It's a reusable adhesive, so it keeps your paper in place for many, many projects. Simply push the green button for go and the machine does all the work by itself and lets you know from the display screen when it's done. At that point, you remove the tray and your project is finished. The kit includes these tweezers that help you remove the project from the adhesive without making any damages. The Personal Cutting System is quick, quiet, and seemingly endless in its abilities to create different designs, borders, and shapes. In addition to the two books already included, Xyron has created plenty of other books with more fonts.
The possibilities seem endless with this machine, however there are a couple of limitations. This machine will only cut fonts and shapes that are in the books. Additional books will cost extra money. The cutting tray itself is reusable but eventually will wear out and you'll need to replace it. And the cutting tray is only four by four inches, so if you want to have larger shapes than that, it's just not going to happen. And as expected, the blade will grow dull over time and need to be replaced.
