Magic, you're channel is one of the best, most entertaining, and useful camera gear and photography techniques channels. A lot of these dudes with large subscriber counts sound bored as hell. Your enthusiasm and humor brings me back to the days when a guy with the initials KW was on a channel called Digitalrev. I looked forward to every new video from that channel during it's "golden age." The same applies to your channel. Keep having fun...it's inspiring! Next time you are in NYC, I'd love to meet up.

Your video on the Sony A7C II was a gem! Thanks a million for the thorough breakdown – it made my decision to invest in this camera a no-brainer. Looking forward to more content from you! I've also made a few videos on the A7C ii on my channel, I love it.

Thank you for the video. While I know the X100V is extremely popular and the A7C II is brand new it would also be interesting to compare the X-E4 and A6700 which are both ICLE and 26 Mpixels. Or X-S20 and A6700. Keep up the good work.

Hmm, tilted vs flipable screens are not “the same”: how do you angle that tiltable screen in portrait mode if cam is very high or low? Also, am sure there’s a pancake lense out there for e-mount.

It was an interesting comparison but I think they serve different purposes. Now that Sony came with so many new cameras with pretty much the same technology, just in different bodies and for different target audience, I'd love to see a new RX1 with a tilt screen, I'm pretty confident that if Sony wanted, they could make a camera that would go against the X100V or Leica Q3, for example. For street and travel photography it would be perfect.

Definitely A7C is more versatile camera with much better picture quality and with Zeus’s 35mm 2, 8 it is great for all day use or travelling. Good comparison Magic!

Would you go with a Ricoh GR III over the X100V?

3:41 “slurp and go” when you see it you can’t un-see it and I wish I could

For me, the AC7 series makes sense if you are using the lighter 1.8 Sony lenses or some of the lighter "contemporary" line Sigma primes. I don't think it's comfortable to have a smaller, lighter camera with a shallow grip if you are using a 50mm f/1.2 or 85 f/1.4 or, G*d forbid, a zoom. It just feels too front heavy and uncomfortable (especially if you have average to above average sized hands).
It's only $300 cheaper than the a7 IV, which has the same sensor, a much better viewfinder, and better ergonomics.

The Sony equivalent of the Fuji's film recipes is not the picture profiles, but rather "creative looks"

A7CII vs. Nikon ZF would be also an interesting comparison 😉

Great comparison..awesome content....big difference in an important "category" that most people sometimes forget to mentioned is compression..when talking about focal lengths and how that affects the image..haha

I sold my x100v great camera but aways left me feeling I wanted more from the images. Its a jpg shooting camera imo, and the raws i felt were never as good. Kind of mushy. I preferred my m6ii over the x100v with the pancake f2. But I get it fits lots of peoples needs. Sold mine for the same price I paid for it 12 months later, so for price it is way over hyped. I do like a7cr, seems to have a lot going for it. The screen and viewfinder is the same as the m6ii, and never had an issue with it in real world use.

Great video and no disrespect but we are comparing a $2300 full frame camera vs a $1400 apsc-camera. All the tech stuff aside $2300 for an EDC doesn’t make a lot of sense if you already have a smartphone in your pocket (my opinion). I have both the X100v and A7IV and as overhyped as the Fuji is, Sony has yet to hit that sweet spot of a true EDC with a decent price point like the X100V or Ricoh GRIII.

Can't believe he just lay that lens in the grass 😅. The bag is right THERE!😂

Shouldn’t the comparison be between the A6700 and the Fuji? Same price, both apsc…

V fits in a pocket but A7Cii wins hands down for shooting one-handed on the go… the grip & AF make the Sony smoke the V in this regard. Most Fuji owners put all kind of isssh all over their V so they quickly become less pocketable.

when a camera has a problem with AF I think is not worth .I have 100V and the. AF is 4/10

Wrong lens comparison- should’ve used the Sony FE 35mm f/2.8 which is more compact and has the same FF f-stop equivalence as the Fuji.
