Having battled Wire Cast and OBS, I can appreciate this. I think the prior are fine in a static setup, once working, but this could be great for simplicity or on the road. Simple is better sometimes. Thanks Phil.

Just use a secondary cell phone and obs. You can record the session and keep the video for later editing. Its cheaper

I think this is a cool idea, but you can buy an iPhone 11 for under $400 and it can be used with continuity on your Mac. You get a lot more with an iPhone 11. I think the best live streaming setup is this: iPhone 11 or higher with a MacBook Air running OBS. Send the audio from mixer to your laptop using an RCA to USB sound card (I use Rode Wireless Pro). This setup means your camera can be anywhere without wires needing to run to it.

What is the audio quality like for this? Over the years, I have found that audio quality is often the most significant shortcoming in streaming products, including the esteemed ATEM with its unbalanced mini-jack input. In my opinion, nothing surpasses a high-quality audio interface or mixer connected to a computer.

How is the camera for nightclub work? Have you tried the wireless emeet cameras? I bought three emeet cameras that are 1080p that are supposed to last up to 8 hours on one battery charge. I managed to get them to switch through Virtual DJ via usb-c cables but, my laptop is lacking one and the Virtual DJ has a small issue with the switching but, it can be done. Each of the emeet cameras have a Sony cms sensor to help in dark areas like night clubs. It also has an AI feature that can be used via the emeet app that can follow a person moving around in front of the camera. The emeet camera can also record manually with the push of a button on the back of it. I really haven't tested all of the features on my camera but, I know they are there. The cost of the 1080p cameras are fairly cheap under $200 USD a piece. They are even cheaper with a discount code. Give the emeet cameras a try and see if you like those better.

I like that this has options, it's not just a 1 trick pony, Being able to just hook it up via usb is a huge plus and means it isn't simply relegated to its main feature.
That said, the Audio quality is a little bit potato.

You can buy a used or unlocked Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra for so much cheaper and better quality all around. This is too expensive in this day with Cellphones and Web Cameras, most of the streaming sites don't even allow you more than 1080p when you're live anyways.

Audio quality doesn’t sound great.

Seems like the main advantage is for someone who doesn’t use OBS or another computer for live streaming.

Seems like they copied the Mevo Start, gave it better zoom but worse audio. I would stay with the Mevo Start! The Mevo is horrible in low light. But, outside of that, that's the better option. I'm not impressed with this outside of the 10x zoom.

I wouldn’t use any of these cameras for their audio. I would only use the camera and use audio from an interface or my external mixer when streaming online.
