Thanks!! I picked up a 2k bbq grill for free!! The flame was barely lit and the regulator was leaking through the top of it and the weep hole.. now I know that have a clog somewhere in the line..!

Doesn't shutting off the BBQ look like a blockage of the hose to the burners?

Can you tell me the proper size or the fitting that fits into the hose end opposite of where the regulator is. Or the barbecue end. I have an old RV stove and my 3/8 tubing from it won't fit into the regulator and hose that I purchased to hook to my 20 pound tank in my garage as a spare little oven

Excellent video but I'm not sure what is going on with my Weber regulator. I have brand new burners installed on my 9 year old, 4 burner grill. I swapped it out with another LP regulator I have on a glass bead fireplace and everything works great so I'm pretty sure it is the regulator that's acting up. Weber tech support (10 year warranty) insisted it was the burners and sent me 4 new units. Oh well thanks Weber! I'll be calling you again for a regulator. After watching your video I am still unsure of the failure reason...
Symptom: Turn on the tank. If I wait more than 5-10 sec - a lot of pressure builds up and when I ignite the first burner I get a huge rush of propane and a nice fire ball (contained within the grill body :-). The flame then settles down but adding a 2nd or 3rd (or 4th) burner in and the flame is barely wafting...
So it seems that the diaphragm/valve combo is allowing too much gas/pressure to pass. But if that is the case, why don't all the burners have large flames? Just wondering what you think is happening inside. I fully expect to get a new one from Weber (or I'll buy one) but my left brain is curious...
Thanks again for taking the time to create the video

I have just had a Camco 2 stage 59333 fail by leaking. The small pinhole in the 1st stage that faces up (it is near the pressure gauge plug) was leaking nonstop and drained my new tank. I replaced it, but I am curious what that hole is for and how the regulator failed. Thanks.

I do not understand... if the out port is blocked... well, if the BBQ is shut off, it is the same as blocked. Would that cause problem to the regulator?

I’ve counted a new hose to my Weber and there a gas leak coming out between the connecting head and the regulator. Any idea why?

As condensation goes in there could you put Break Free in there?

Can you do anything to fix or reset the regulator if gas is leaking out of the relief vent?

If you turn off the grill all valves off the pressure is still in the hose like it’s blocked if the pressure in the tank should climb the regulator could bypass in the bypass the check valve on the regulator will shut down the flow automatically

Hello, in a case where the regulator and the valve is the same unit like the one on a portable gas grill for example a Webber Q grill. Can I take apart that type of regulator valve?
I own a camper and it has a low pressure quick connect for a external appliance such as a portable grill. I contacted my portable grill and it didn't work because it is putting out low pressure and the valve on the grill has a regulator. It lights up but just doesn't get hot enough to even fry a egg. Before I get myself into a situation, maybe you might know if I can take it apart the regulator to remove what regulates the gas without big consequences like a explosion. Hope to here from you soon.

Blocking the hose, was the stupidest thing I had ever heard. It is basically blocked when the valve is shut off.
The weep hole is for atmospheric balance. And also, if the diaphragm ruptures.

Why does regulator freeze up? My propane heater will either shoot out more heat/gas or not as much when the regulator starts freezing/releasing propane. Whats going on here?
