Thanks Leah what timing this video is! I just made a new chaise lounge chair and it has a lot of slats on it. My thought while I was building this was wow when this needs sanding it will be a chore to do all of the slats. Now thanks to you I have what would be a extremely hard thing to do will be at least less tedious when the time comes. Your the best Leah!

I used a similar method by using a square piece of sand paper, and putting a piece of duck tape down the center, then I used a finishing trowel or Taping Knife Putty Knife depending on the space between, and would fold the sand paper over the end of the tool, then run the tool between the boards...

You could also do that then tape it to a recip saw blade then use the recip at a slow-medium speed if you don't want to to it by hand

If you fold the sand paper in half, u can sand 2 areas at the same time, and get more pressure on the wood, meaning removing more waste

Nice hacknwith the reinforced sandpaper! Also Glad to find out about RITE IN THE RAIN!! I always keep small notebooks for writing down recipes and thoughts and i fear them getting splashed-but no longer! :)
