In my opinion, this song exerts the biggest energy of the era Brawl released in. It’s hard to describe, but just the overall aesthetic and culture at the time online, especially on YouTube, feels reflected in this song to me.

This goes out to those silently reading the comment section; not knowing how to exactly phrase how much SSBB impacted their lives, recalling happier times, humming or singing silently in their head to such a nostalgic melody, sharing similar experiences with each other, knowing your childhood meant something special, or coming back to such a warm and welcoming tune. You could’ve stumbled upon this from SSBU’s sound records and entered a generation’s worth of nostalgia. Wherever you’ve come from, this goes out to those who’ve come here.

This song should be in the dictionnary next to the definition of nostalgia.

This song is just one of the reasons why i think SSBB has perhaps one of the greatest soundtracks atleast for a Wii game.

How the heck did a somber and beautiful tune that makes people express deep emotions become one of the most uplifting and energetic songs imaginable? I don’t care and I absolutely love it.

For those curious, this arrangement was done by *Michiko Naruke, * the composer for the _Wild Arms_ games from 1 to 4. She is very talented. :)

the original stickerbush symphony is totally iconic and i get why some people dislike this version for going in such a different direction with tone, but honestly, i think this is _easily_ one of my top 10 songs in the smash series and just as amazing as the original.

it's a lot more fast-paced and has a sense of intensity to it, but it has such a beautiful air of melancholy that's more fitting for an emotional segment of a journey. it always kinda gave me this feeling of being lost in an emotional sense, i guess? it feels a lot less like the slow and quiet reflection-y song the original is, and more of the kind of song that'd play for a character setting out to avenge or recover something important to them, or maybe running away and leaving behind what they've come to know to try and find something better. _(and it probably helped that that was the kinda stuff i thought a lot about growing up in the kind of environment i did)_

it feels silly to say it since it's not exactly played for much drama in-game, but i guess maybe it helps that the song plays in the stage in subspace where you control diddy after dk basically pulled a sacrifice and got trophified in place of him - it was the theme that played when he set out to get his best friend back and save him, and i guess it helped the stage and song leave an impact for me. it playing over the lake and the first half of the swamp really helped give them a level of emotion they wouldn't have otherwise, and i guess that combined with some of the other stuff above really helped elevate it for me.

...also, on another note, it makes me really happy that it can be played on jungle japes and kongo falls in ultimate, because the former is just _such_ a beautiful stage and the sunset lighting really takes me back to the first level it played in during sse, and kongo falls isn't too far off aesthetically from the swamp level it played in later on.
