Illinois Application Help: Test-Optional

If you're a first-year student applying to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, you don't have to provide ACT or SAT scores. We're test-optional, meaning the choice to report them is up to you! If you're not sure which way to go, Joshua is here to give you all the information you need to make an informed decision.

Note that depending on whether or not you report ACT or SAT scores, a TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test may be required to prove English proficiency. If you don't report your ACT or SAT scores, also know that you can't use them for English proficiency or placement if you're admitted.
