The method shown in this video doesn't work and could be a quick way to break a £50 battery door. Here's the answer:
WARNING: these flash units contain a capacitor that generates huge voltages, so take great care not to touch any wiring - wear rubber gloves.

The LH (short) pin fits into a hole in the body but the RH (long) pin lays in a channel covered by the body. To remove or replace, first get a 3-wing screwdriver and a stout rubber band. Place the band loosely around the body (to stop the front and back body sections from flying apart). With the screwdriver, remove the four screws around the hot shoe mount. Then remove the four screws beside the flash head pivot (locate these by turning the flash head 45° in each direction). Carefully prise the front and back apart a small way - the flash head will come loose but can easily be reassembled. This should make the channel for the RH battery door pin visible. Locate the door pin in the LH hole and lay the RH pin into the channel. Gently push the front and back of the unit together while locating the flash head. Relocate the hot shoe foot and replace all the screws - job done.
