What does it mean to study at The Bartlett School of Planning?

BSc Urban Planning, Design and Management student, Ward Alsafi, shares his impressions...

In 2013, The Bartlett School of Planning launched a competition and asked their students to pick up their cameras and create a short film that encapsulated how they felt about studying at The Bartlett and in UCL.

Participants were encouraged to think creatively and consider the spirit of the School, and its place in the heart of London. In return, the winning film would be featured as part of an alternative prospectus for the School, and the successful film maker win a £500 cash prize.

A panel of judges, including Head of School, Professor Nick Gallent and Professor of Planning, Environment and Public Policy, Yvonne Rydin, chose Ward Alsafi's entry; both for its imaginative outlook and quirky interpretation of the competition brief.
