You can copy/paste data directly from Excel to modern SharePoint from both the browser and desktop version of Excel. Here's how!

Thank you for this video, a big help. For anyone that might see this, I'll share that I just pasted a little over 4000 rows from a Google sheet to SharePoint list. Batches of 1000 were causing problems. Ended up doing batches of 500 (~ 12min/batch). Reiterating Christine's point about req'd fields ( ex. use helper column and ISDATE() function to verify all dates are valid) as this will stop progress. Also, it was hard on the browser; cache cleared and not too many tabs open might be good. Great channel, thanks again!

Great work on this video. Perfect and to the point. Sadly 99% of other SP instructors on YT are not as effective as you at communicating these types of factual processes.

I like that you kept it real with the issues and frustrations due to MS limitations. Other YTers don’t do that.

I noticed only a slight improvement in speed of uptake of data by closing all edge browsers and using the Lists app in data sheet mode. I think the limited add-ons and plugins help the browser communicate with the server more effectively this way.

My laptop definitely froze less often this way too.

Hi, This video is excellent. I need to transfer almost 39000 records from an Excel spreadsheet to sharepoint. What is the best way to achieve this?

SharePoint List is a great tool but god is when you update with lots of records. If only Azure was a little more simple I would use that instead
