Miletus and Didyma are neighboring cities in southwestern Turkey, both thousands of years old but with spectacular excavated remains from ancient times. Especially worthy of viewing are Miletus' theatre and Didyma's Temple of Apollo. St. Paul visited Miletus on his Third Missionary Journey and probably passed through Didyma while walking the Sacred Road connecting these two cities which are about 10 miles apart.

When we visited we were able to read many graffitti - like Greek inscriptions carved into the outer steps. They made it plain that visitors from all over the Hellenistic world came here. There was also a "moat" of water around the tempe because there had been a lot of rain. A turtle was basking there on the steps. It was great to visit the home of Apollo and not far away was Letoon, with the temples of the whole family - Apolo, Artemis and their mum, Leto.

Hi there, is it OK to use a short excerpt (3-5 sec) in a YT video? You don't give a business email so I don't know how to contact you.

On the map at 0:21 Miletus is shown at the point where Didyma (Didymaion) is located. Is not Miletus lying farther north?
