I would also suggest with the musical saw, simply listening to songs, listening to the instrumentals, and figuring out how to play in a way that accompanies those instrumentals well! Its a really good way of exercising your ability to play by ear and it gives you the ability to sit down with any group of musicians and play along with what youre hearring
