It's not as thorough as the outstanding reviews by Philip Bloom or Gerald Undone, but this is what I love about this camera and why I think it's a worthy cinema camera to upgrade to for the professional filmmaker; particularly for the Sony user. The entire talking head portion as well as the introduction were shot with the FX9 in S-Cinetone with no color grade added in post.

I've just bought an FX9 and just awaiting delivery next week. Compared to myriad FX9 videos I've seen, I've found yours the most informative in a concise format. Your footage showed me elements that justified to me that it was worth going the extra budget over the FX6.

I genuinely thought that the intro to this video was an alcohol commercial; I even got so frustrated looking for the "Skip Ad" button that I didn't notice the giant yellow letters saying "SHOT ON THE FX9". It took me a bit, until the talking head shot, to realize that this was the review and that you just did a superb job at displaying this cameras capabilities!

Thank you for this honest review. So many of the Youtubers are "filmmakers" but seem so caught up in the super tiny details of the tech versus how it actually adds to your story. Look forward to purchasing the FX9. New subscribers here. #beardlife

Great Review! I would like to ask you how did you record in the Atomos? I tried to record external but when I'm recording with the Ninja is not recording from the camera is recording the monitor of the FX9. Thank you much.
