All kids are a beautiful blessing. My sons though are truly the best thing to have ever happen to me. Boys when young love their Mums so much. It tapers off a bit as they hit pre teen. Not sure how I will get through the teen years if they are moody and distance. Too cool to show they love their Mum 😂

Any child could do that. I absolutely hate baby showers now. It was a cute event before but now some parents get so angry and disappointed that the baby wasn’t the gender they wanted and it just feels so wrong. Like imagine your kid watching that in the future, and knowing that you were disappointed in them before they were even born 🙃

What tears me up is, I remember at the US Classic gymnastics competition 17 years ago I met a tiny little Shawn Johnson when she asked me where the bathroom was in the competition hall.
Now she's so genuinely awesomely successful and happy...yeah. Wow.

One thing. Did they not know the gender ahead of time? I have heard of this sort of thing where the parents give permission to the doctor, who tells the family so they can plan a party to reveal the gender. Is that what happened?
