Made In Abyss: Something Rather Creepy That You Probably Never Noticed...

Whether it's the anime or the manga, Made in Abyss has tons of spooky, creepy or just disturbing things hidden in the background.

The walls(if one can call it that) kind of resemble an amalgamation of wailing souls, maybe I'm just seeing something that's not there or the artist added a few extra faces to mess with our head

The fact that all the villagers basically live in Irumyuui's womb. Iru's basically in a deep coma so the Hollow villagers are akin to parasites crawling around inside her, still praying to her for more. Not to mention that Irumyuui was cast out because her womb was deemed defective so the Cradle of Greed granted her wish in the worst way possible (by filling it with "children" who will never leave or die).

The Irumyuii transformation was brutal enough....so this doesn't suffice for the fears

A juncture coming out of the wall also looks like a hand being brought to the face, the same way for not melted it and deformed hand looked when she was trying to cradle her "Doom babies"

makes you think "is this part of the village the corrupted remains of irumui's skull, still half dead/half alive?" the fact that vueko never transformed and remained human the whole time certainly alludes to irumui still being alive this whole time. unless im missing something where it was stated she was/wasn't.

Made in the abyss is by far my number 1 favorite it’s so emotional and it just makes me really happy when I watch it
