Xi Jinping secures third term as Chinese Communist Party leader | DW News

China's Communist Party on Sunday formally reelected Xi Jinping the party's general secretary for another five years, paving the way for his historic third term as Chinese president.

The widely expected announcement comes after a week-long Communist Party Congress during which Xi further cemented his grip on power.

Party faithful endorsed his "core" position in leadership, and approved changes to the constitution making Xi's political vision central for China's future.

1. Grabbing the guy by an arm
2. Him realising he is doomed.
3. Desperately asking the one next to him "help me"
4. Answer coming to him "You have prepared your bed, lie in it - I want to live".
5. Him realising he is doomed completely now.

I always thought Xi Jinping looked friendly and non threatening, like Winnie the Pooh. Would never have thought he was an authoritarian leader with possible imperialist ambitions
