She failed to identify a crime or some nefarious behavior, and only alludes to her own personal suspicions as to why the FOIA's were filed. This isn't journalism, this is sensationalism.

So again, I’ll ask one more time “what is wrong with them doing legal things?”

Is this lady really arguing that unelected bureaucrats should not be fired by the executive branch?

Transparency regardless of which political party is absolutely necessary!

It's absolutely wild that there is any debate to be had about trying to make the government transparent, especially considering what we have been learning about how the government conceals its activity and actively evades legal requirements to comply with FOIA requests.

This women’s face is showing that she’s just, right now, realizing that she has no real point. The confusion in her eyes is amazing. This is the real cult.

It’s not sabotage to ask for public information. Stop this subversive nonsense.

This is so crazy that we are discussing this at all. Public record is public record.

She can not adequately advocate her position. She comes across as a toddler stomping her feet and screaming that’s not fair.

and? If you want privacy don’t work for the government. I am your boss, as is every other U.S. citizen.

She has filed 50 of them personally herself? But it's not ok when heritage foundation does it?

Couldn't all this information be published online so the FOI request never has to be filed, we could just search?

Climate equity? Only an idiot would use that term.

Why do I get the impression that Sharon Lerner is not concerned with what's being done with FOIA requests (there is nothing illegal going on) but it who is doing it.

We can’t have people asking for transparency!

“Our piece was about the fact that they (Heritage Foundation) was doing it (submitting FOIAs) at all.” - Sharon Lerner

Anyone who has ever submitted a single FOIA can tell you that every office complains about receiving too many FOIA requests.

Agencies and offices can ask for reasonable fees in order to comply with FOIA requests.

Pro-Publica is admitting that they take umbrage with conservatives making FOIA requests for information that is accessible to all U.S. citizens.

At what point did the Democrats embrace Joseph McCarthyesque authoritarianism/fascism? I didn’t get that email or letter when I was a registered Democrat for nearly 20 years. I would have made the time to show up to those town halls.
