That's just a fan talking. Will Smith needs to take responsibility for his actions. Basically he needs to realise that Jada Pinkett Smith is toxic for him. We all have shit going on in our lives; but that's no excuse for lashing out.

I can't get the assault out of my head. That was so humiliating to Chris Rock and I am not just willing to forgive and forget right now. It was horrible thing that Will Smith did to Chris and he must suffer the consequences for his actions. So far he was allowed to resign and so far NO punishment from the ACADEMY and he can not just be allowed to walk away unscathed. Chris Rock will have to live with the fact that he was humiliated in front of millions.

B Bush makes a great point.
One previous fan said that they will never watch another Will Smith movie again.
For me, that slap does not "cancel out" all of Smith's prior accomplishments.
Now I can understand one's disappointment in what Will did that evening. And it was. But I will continue to enjoy his prior works for 2 reasons:
1) I have learned to seperate the person from his artwork. I don't know anything about Will's true character, but I do like his movies and I enjoy them.
2) I am not emotionally invested in Will Smith, Chris Rock nor any other celebrity. So whatever they do, doesn't impact me personally where I feel the world has spun off it's axis.
Will can rebound after this.
