The energy crisis was a wake-up call. It exposed our overreliance on fossil fuels and volatile international markets and our vulnerability to energy inefficient homes, leading to government intervention on bills. This panel will discuss whether it's possible to build a decarbonised, resilient future energy system which saves money and the planet.

29:50 LMAO gas boilers are the most energy efficient ways of heating a home. Especially if you have a mid sized or large home. Heat Pumps only work on three room flats and even then they lose efficiency in cold weather.

All this disgusts me. "Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive" There IS NO CLIMATE EMERGENCY and therefore any need to decarbonise. NET ZERO is the elephant in the room not being discussed. The Conservative Party failing to 'grasp the nettle' and face the fact through its continued pursuit of renewables, will be toast at the next election
