The Utah Jazz defeat the Detroit Pistons, 97-87. Kyle Filipowski led the way with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the Jazz, while Max Abmas added 23 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in the victory. Ron Holland II tallied 23 points, 3 assists and 3 steals for the Pistons in the losing effort. The Jazz finish NBA 2K25 Summer League 3-2, while the Pistons finish at 2-3.

I think that with the right coaching and mentorship, Filipowski could be a really good NBA player. He has the tools: post moves, shooting range and fairly good vision.

Filipowski has really impressed me so far! People say he's like Markkanen. I can see that. However, his dribbling and passing are way better than Markkannen already.

I also keep getting Tim Duncan vibes, as far as possible leader, while also being a highly skilled player. However, again, he can dribble and shoot way better than Duncan, but similar passer. He just lacks the defensive side and needs a bit more rebounding technique.

He's already solid on steals. He does get some blocks here and there. However, yhe Jazz did hire Avery Bradley as an assistant coach/development coach. Here's hoping that he helps Flip development defense more.

Overall, I could see Flip being an anchor on offense and at least holding his own on defense. It'll be fun to see his development!

Filipowski needs to get experience... But could you imagine him and Lauri on the floor together? They can both shoot, drive and pass. And ~7 ft... Could be cool.
