I'm a teacher. Today I wore black, as did some of my colleagues, and during the first 15 minutes of my first period class I pulled up a dictionary on the big screen at the front of my classroom and looked up "Fairness." Then I looked up "Equality." Then "Equity." Finally, "Justice." I talked briefly about how those words interrelate, and suggested that my 11 and 12 year old students remember them, because they were going to be important words to remember. Let's not forget them. They still matter.

Please remember- YOU ARE NOT HELPLESS. Make it a point to learn how federal/state/local government work. Understand that local/state government is going to be vital in the coming years. Keep up to date on your voting registration, vote in EVERY election no matter how local. Attend your city meetings and do not be afraid to call your representatives and senators. Get involved and stay involved and get others involved. Pass it on

I'm planning to retire at 59 in another country outside the US that is free, safe and very cheap with a high quality of life and good healthcare. I could fully just rely on only my SS if I wanted to when that times arrives but l'll also have at least one pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific Investment account with my Stephanie Stiefel my FA. Retiring comfortably in the US these days is almost impossible

Even if all of MAGA came to their senses today, I would never trust a single one of them OR be comfortable and enjoy being around them.
