Is their any special requirments needed to ship oversized loads on the broker side? For instance, I know my carrier landstar has all required permits to ship the load. Do I need anything on the broker side to move oversized loads (certifications, extra insurance ect...)

Right now I have a truck and an Mc and dot number

I have 1 million of liability coverage and 150 k of cargo coverage but I want to get into the brokerage side

Before getting shippers do I need to change my dot to a brokerage dot and will the brokerage dot go active without the surety bond !!

I really want to pace myself because the money isn’t that good yet since we just started

So I want to start brokerage now but I’m wondering if I can start brokerage now and take care of the dot and insurance stuff later
