Dave and I were doing a big hike/run up to Della Falls and Love Lake - central Vancouver Island. I wasn't intending to photograph wildlife, and only had my GoPros with me (which are wide-angle, not good for close-ups).
We came across this pine marten - a species you very rarely see in the wild! - and I was wishing I had brought my big Nikon.
But no worries, the curious little pine marten came right up to the camera!
