I have several questions.
Has the expansion of the universe been constant since soon after the big bang?
Is the dark matter related to quantum mechanics, or string theory, as I consider these to be separate theories.
Could the dark matter questions be directly related to the expansion of the universe?
Could we just not understand matter correctly, and be missing the point about dark energy being responsible for expansion?
I truly appreciate the expansion of knowledge and strengthening of our capacity to understand the universe, and the investment of human resources expended.
I want to live long enough to get some answers to these questions.

I am distressed by the fact that so much of this discussion is describing current hypotheses regarding the nature of the universe; most of these are in question due to current discoveries. This makes this discussion confusing.

The more we learn the less we know, our human brain can’t comprehend, the enorminity of it. It’s good to learn, we will never solve it. Think simply it has been and always will be. That’s it. Learn 👍👍👍

The Big Bang didn’t bang in one direction, it must have exploded in all directions. All the graphs showing the bang show it in two dimensions. If the distance from us to the bang is 13.8 billion years, then it expanded the same amount in the opposite direction from us didn’t it? So if it were possible to see beyond the initial event, wouldn’t we see galaxies, black holes, etc. Just like we can see on this side of the bang?🎉
