Dr Akin, do you put up every sermon isolated from chapel services? This one is brutal... I would encourage my friend JD to watch a couple of the reviews on YouTube that are going viral (especially AD Robles.) If he follows this track much longer, he will tragically be following some of his other friends out of ministry. Satan wins another mini battle. I'm not the man to intervene here, but Dr Akin could. God will raise up new men to carry the mantle if not.

You do see the irony in your comment about Christians cancelling church, don’t you, Mr. Greear? Didn’t you cancel church for the better part of a year not too long ago?

Did J.D. produce this sermon message himself, …or was it rather the efforts of Docent Research Group whose services were paid for by the tithes of congregants?

This is called the Tim Keller gambit, present one's perspective as the true Gospel position, that is neither left or right (as if there were only two positions). However, it's framing, justification and conclusion always lines up with the elite left liberal consensus. Yes, there is a thin veneer of neutrality and pietistic special pleading, but its an arrogant and heavily ideological form of rhetoric. It's also profoundly cowardly. JD Greear can casually call people that left his Church, members of the Synagogue of Satan and that he is experiencing intense persecution, when in reality he paying the cost of falling into the woke ideology of the day and shutting down his church for over a year. This man is truly a cunning deceiver.

Where is the expository preaching in this? In even teaching on how to a bible study, this is horrid. This breaks so many rules that I know in how to do sound expository preaching. Putting historical context secondary putting it in a modern context first IS NOT what you do first.
