Simple Healthy Baked Plantain Recipe | Oil-Free

In this video I will be making some delicious and super simple baked plantains! This recipe is completely oil-free and only requires 2 ingredients!

INGREDIENTS (Begins 0:30):

- Very ripe plantains (I prefer predominantly black)
- Cinnamon or other spices

STEPS (Begins 1:13)

1. RInse plantains and pat dry.

2. Unpeel plantains by cutting the ends and making a shallow slit down the middle of the plantains (be careful not to cut too deep into the flesh of the plantain).

3. Cut plantains into two halves across and then proceed to julienne cut each of the halves into 3 thin celery-like pieces.

4. Transfer plantains onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

5. Sprinkle desired amount of cinnamon (or your choice of spices) over plantains.

6. Bake each side for 10 minutes on 425F (don't forget to sprinkle cinnamon on the other side if desired)

7. Continue to bake until desired color/char is attained. Allow to cool for 15 minutes and enjoy! 💪

TIPS: Try storing in tupperware in a fridge overnight for a sweet refreshing treat! I personally enjoy eating them cold as the plantain juices will thicken and combine with the cinnamon wonderfully!
