The Ultimate Space Opera: The First Quarter Century of the Hubble Space Telescope

Since its delivery to orbit in April 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) has fundamentally changed our understanding of the cosmos. From studies of the Solar System, to our galaxy, to the first galaxies, HST has proved itself one of the greatest tools in astronomical history. The history of HST is not just one of technology, but a very human story as well.

In this talk, I will tell some of HST’s story, including some of its science highlights over the last 25 years, and will look into where HST will go next.
