Over the past 10 years I have acquired ten Cine Kodak Special and Special II cameras. I’ve got eight of them working again. These are absolute beasts! Quality clockwork devices for sure.

Has that been stabilized in post? If not that footage is bloody phenomenal stable, way better than a Bolex.

After seeing a copy of this camera up for sale I came here to find out if it is a stereo one. Unfortunately not, but still an interesting piece of gear.

What kind of tripod can I use for this type of camera? Great video!

I shot with Kodak Ciné Special I's & II's. Great cameras for animation production. Still have the cameras.

Gary Schwartz
"An animated film borrowing from the pre-cinematic imagery of Edweard Muybridge in a self-referential mode. Animus takes us back to those early Edison days with stills of a man walking and a man sneezing, dating from the time when watching a figure perform any actions at all on screen was a rare delight. Schwartz has combined those historical images with very contemporary animations as a comment on how far movie-making has come in the 20th century. This how-to of animation is also a perfect introduction to those who have wondered what structuralism is all about. The tongue-in-cheek, playful mix of live action, animation and xerography is attention grabbing from beginning to end."

Just found one of these in the attic. Within, what I assume is the original case. Does anyone still have use for these cameras?
