Bro I'm on series x and pubg just disabled my cross platform play. I try to enable it and it takes me to the last screen but I allowed it so idk why it ain't working.

The fact that it's optional on Xbox but standard for PlayStation lets you know Xbox took the short end of the deal. Since most people aren't even aware you can turn cross play off means you can barely find a game if you turn it off. So you're forced to play at a disadvantage if you want to game online
