Look up the 'Magdeburg Law, 1257' on Google for more information on how Krakow became a European Metropolis.

Kraków wasn't designed by German architects.

Mate, nice content but you misunderstood what you have heard in the Shindler's factory - it is true, that Krakow in the XII, XIII and XIV century has a large Germanic population as many other cities in the medieval Poland. Polish kings were inviting merchants from the West, especially Germans and Jews to boost trade and develop economy. However, what you are saying is just a Nazi propaganda from the first half of XX century - the Nazis claimed that Krakow is an old Germanic city (before it became Slavic) and this way they were trying to justify the annexation of the city and region. In fact, Krakow, from the begging of its history, was a Polish city and capital city of Kingdom of Poland for many centuries. Also, the population of Germans in the XVIII, XIX and XX century was really small, before the WW II Germans were around 1% or 2%. Also, the building in the old town were mostly designated by Polish, Jews and Italian architects much later and not in the XII or XIII century. The facades of the buildings in the old town changed the shape many times during the history. Best!

Wow! I don't know where you get your history from but it needs some accuracy. Krakow is ancient city, always populated mostly by Polish people and built by them too. If you would like to look at another city with a different history, let's look at Berlin. The Slavic word of the Old Polabians, an ancient Slavic group that lived in present day Germany, is "Berl." "Berl" means a swamp or marshy area. There are even archeological digs of ancient Slavic settlements in the Berlin area. Research the Wends and the Sorbs, two Slavic groups that are still in Germany today. I will lastly mention that there is a lot of Slavic DNA in Eastern Germans. So, it looks like Slavic people founded the city of Berlin. OMG! Clutch your pearls!! There's much to the story, but I thought I'd leave you time to catch-up on some real truth about Krakow.

Eh, you only went to the Schindler's factory and one museum, it's a shame because Krakow has much more to offer. If you did some more thorough googling, you could have been more interested into what you're seeing, the city is riddled with history museums. Seems like you tried guessing some historical facts there too - market square established by nazis? The sculpture in 4:31 has nothing to do with them either...

They did NOT use the Jewish police force against the Polish population, how on earth did you get that from the museum? That's borderline offensive misunderstanding of what went on.

In this 'market' (Sukiennice), there are 2 museums: 'Polish Art' with some interesting and big paints, mostly from XVIII & XIX century and 'Cracow Underground'

I can only imagine the ‘ghosts’ that abound here. My Dad was part of the British Forces (he was born in Scotland) that liberated Bergen Belsen (a concentration camp in Germany), I never asked him about it & he never spoke of his experiences there. Plus he was only 19 at the time 🥹. It certainly looks a pretty nice place 😊

In fairness it's a lot more affordable if you don't make the bizarre choice of renting a car to visit a city with excellent public transport and everything tourists want to see within 30 minutes walk!

Hello, I'm sorry but I can't listen to lies that German architects designed something on the market square in Krakow. Polish and Italian masters of architecture were responsible for the designs!!!
